Sasnovich into second round of WTA 125 tournament in Canberra

MINSK, 30 December (BelTA) - Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich (world No. 143 ) was off to a good start at the WTA 125 tournament in Canberra, Australia, BelTA learned.

In the Round of 32, the Belarusian defeated Swiss tennis player Jil Teichmann (No. 135) in a three-set match 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. The match lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes. Sasnovich will face the winner of the match between Russia's Maria Timofeeva (138) and Japan's Aoi Ito (126).
