MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – Two Belarusian tennis players advanced to the second round of the Samsung Open clay tournament in Lugano, Switzerland, BelTA has learned.

After Aryna Sabalenka saw off Romania’s Mihaela Buzarnescu 5-7, 6-3, 6-2, Aliaksandra Sasnovich defeated Richel Hogenkamp of the Netherlands 7-6, (7-4), 6-0.

Vera Lapko, who came through the qualifying, is to play her main-draw opener against Anett Kontaveit of Estonia.
