Sabalenka remains 7th in WTA

MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) - Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus remained seventh in the recently published WTA rankings, BelTA has learned.

Last week the Belarusian reached the Stuttgart Open final, and currently holds 5,205 points. Former world number one Victoria Azarenka currently goes 15th with 3,526 points. Aliaksandra Sasnovich is 92nd with 878 points, Olga Govortsova is 142nd with 579 points.

WTA Top Ten:

1. Ashleigh Barty (Australia) – 9,655 points
2. Naomi Osaka (Japan) – 7,800
3. Simona Halep (Romania) – 7,050 
4. Sofia Kenin (United States) – 5,915
5. Elina Svitolina (Ukraine) – 5,835 
6. Bianca Andreescu (Canada) – 5,265 
7. Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) – 5,205   
8. Serena Williams (United States) – 4,850
9. Karolina Pliskova (Czech Republic) – 4,660
10. Kiki Bertens (Netherlands) – 4,405.

Belarus’ Egor Gerasimov goes 76th (950 points) in the ATP rankings. Ilya Ivashka is 107th with 736 points, Uladzimir Ignatik is 341st with 136 points. Egor Gerasimov and Ilya Ivashka are expected to play in Munich, Germany this week.
