MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka was presented with the 2024 WTA Year-End No.1 trophy at the WTA Finals in Riyadh, BelTA has learned.
This season the 26-year-old defended her crown at the Australian Open and won the US Open in addition to securing titles at the Cincinnati Open and Wuhan Open. She also finished runner-up at the WTA events in Brisbane, Madrid and Rome. This season Aryna Sabalenka played 70 matches and won 56 of them. She officially confirmed her year-end No.1 status following her progression to the semifinals at the WTA Finals Riyadh, where she lost to Coco Gauff of the United States.
