MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number 11 Aryna Sabalenka eased past Swiss world number 124 Stefanie Voegele, 6-0, 6-3 in an hour and 8 minutes to reach the Upper Austria Ladies Linz 2020 quarterfinal, BelTA has learned.
In the first round the Belarusian recorded a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Italy’s world number 94 Jasmine Paolini. Aryna Sabalenka will next play French qualifier Oceane Dodin for a spot in the semifinal.
Belarus’ world number 92 Aliaksandra Sasnovich first defeated Bernarda Pera (61) 6-3, 6-1 and later Croatian Jana Fett (236) 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 to set up a quarterfinal match against world number 74 Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic.
The competitions in Linz will be over on 15 November.
