MINSK, 1 October (BelTA) – Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus has climbed to the 16th spot of the WTA rankings, BelTA informs.

A week earlier the Belarusian sat 20^th and rose 3 places thanks to her victory at the 2018 Wuhan Open. This is 20-year-old Aryna Sabalenka’s career-best achievement in the WTA so far.

Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus goes 32^nd, Victoria Azarenka – 55^th, and Vera Lapko – 60^th.

The WTA rankings are still topped by Romania’s Simona Halep. Second goes Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark, with German’s Angelique Kerber is in third.
