MINSK,7 May (BelTA) - Russia’s Turetsky Choir will give a concert in Minsk on 8 May, Inna Adamovich, the head of the concert and festival programs office at the arts department of the Culture Ministry, told the media, BelTA has learned.
A concert by the renowned Turetsky Choir as part of the project Pesni Pobedy (Victory Songs) will be an amazing event for Minskers. The concert will be held at Victory Park on 8 May at 19.00, Inna Adamovich noted. Veterans, youth, general public are invited to attend.
Turetsky Choir will perform the war songs commemorating the heroes of the war. The head of the art group People's Artist of Russia Mikhail Turetsky will give a press conference in the Hall of Victory of the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War on 8 May.
The project Pesni Pobedy (Victory Songs) was launched in 2015. The first concert took place at the Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow. In 2017 the art group performed in Gendarmenmarkt, the central square of Berlin. In 2018, Turetsky Choir already gave concerts in Paris, Ljubljana and Vienna and is set to sing the war songs Berlin, Tel Aviv and even in New York.
The concert is held on a charitable basis with the support of the Russian Culture Ministry. Co-organizers of the project are the Belarusian Culture Ministry and Minsk City Hall.
