MINSK, 24 January (BelTA) – Russian figure skater Mikhail Kolyada posted the highest score of the day of 100.49 points to lead the current standings in men’s singles after the short program at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Minsk on 24 January, BelTA has learned
His teammate Alexander Samarin goes second with 91.97 points. Defending European champion Javier Fernandez sits third with a result of 91.84 points.
Belarusian Yakau Zenko finished 30th (56.38 points).
The winners in the men’s singles will be named on 26 January after free skate.
Ice dancers will hit the ice of Minsk Arena on 25 January for the short program, including Belarusian Anna Kublikova and Yuri Gulitsky.
The championships will end on 26 January. A gala performance of champions and prizewinners will take place on 27 January.
