GOMEL, 5 February (BelTA) – The exhibition, Andrzej Strumillo. Painting, organized in association with the Polish Institute in Minsk will open in the museum of Gomel’s Palace of Rumyantsevs-Paskeviches on 5 February, BelTA learnt from museum director Oksana Toropova.
The exposition comprises about 60 graphic works of the famous Polish artist. The works are from private collections and the collection of the museum of Suwalki, Poland.
Attending the opening of the exhibition will be representatives of the Embassy of Poland in Belarus, heads of several museums and art centers in Podlaskie Province.
The artist was born in Vilno (Vilnius). The Strumillo family on the father’s side is closely related to Minsk. The artist’s creative biography comprises more than 100 exhibitions of painting and photography. His works have been showcased in Tokyo and Berlin, Moscow and Beijing, New York and Bremen and many other cities. He is an author, coauthor and illustrator of more than 150 books.
The exhibition will stay open through 22 March.
