MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – Reytan family estate in Belarus will be restored under a Belarus-Poland cross-border cooperation program, Belarus’ Deputy Culture Minister Alexander Yatsko told BelTA.
The concept of the restoration of the old estate in the village of Grushevka, Lyakhovichi District, Brest Oblast (18th – early 20th centuries) suggests setting up a center for youth cooperation, which will host plein-airs, meetings and conferences. There are also plans to turn the estate into a museum. A similar facility will be set up in Poland. The goal is to organize joint cross-border projects.
Documents are being prepared for filing an application for project financing under the cross-border cooperation program.
Alexander Yatsko also added that Belarusian and Lithuanian specialists actively cooperate in the restoration of the crypt of the Corpus Christi Church in Nesvizh. The research was made and recommendations were worked out during the first stage that is already over. Now work is underway to prepare the package of documents for the application for European Union financing. The overall budget of the project is €1.5 million. It is a project of the cross-border cooperation program between Belarus, Lithuania and Latvia. The application will be considered in 2017.
