BREST, 5 June (BelTA) – The Academy of 100 Posters expo from the collection of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, Poland will open at the exhibition hall of the Brest Oblast social and cultural center on 8 June, BelTA learned from the organizers.
The exhibition is organized by the General Consulate of Poland in Brest and the Polish Institute in Minsk. The exposition will feature 60 works developed by teachers and students of the academy in Katowice.
“Our archives has plenty of poster masterpieces. A part of the collection went on display in the new building of the academy at the start of the academic year and aroused sincere interest among students and guests of the educational establishment. It was then when an idea of an exhibition came up. These are retrospectives, a so-called sentimental journey telling the stories of their creators, trends and phenomena,” said curator of the exhibition, artist Monika Starowicz.
The exhibition of the Polish poster will stay open through 24 June.
