MINSK, 5 April (BelTA) – Serbian Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic visited the Republic of Belarus at the end of March. Directly from the airport he went to the construction site of the prestigious multifunctional complex Minsk Mayak. At the construction site he took part in the ceremony to place a time capsule into the foundation of a new residential building, BelTA has learned.
This building will bear a name of its own just like other buildings in the complex. This one will be named after the famous Serbian artist Paja Jovanovic.
Belarus’ largest and most unusual residential complex Mayak Minsk is being built by the company Dana Holdings. The company has a long and glorious track record. Forty years ago it established the first Yugoslavian-Soviet private company in Moscow. The volume of the holding company’s finished projects in various countries across the world now exceeds 5 million m2 of administrative and residential premises.
Zeljko Sertic said during the ceremony: “I am glad that Belarusians and Serbs implement such important projects as one family. New generations of the brotherly nation will live in these homes. Belarus and Serbia are connected by strong ties of friendship. Trade turnover between our countries has increased by five times in the last few years.”
Honorary Consul of Belarus in Belgrade, member of the Serbian parliament Dragomir Karic also took part in the Paja Jovanovic house foundation ceremony.
At present Dana Holdings is busy building 4.7 million m2 of real estate in the Republic of Belarus. The number includes Europe’s largest international financial center Minsk Mir with the total area of 3 million m2. The complex has been designed similarly to the well-known centers in Dubai, Singapore, and Hong Kong and has already won a number of prestigious international awards. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Serbia President Tomislav Nikolic placed a time capsule into the foundation of the Minsk Mir complex on 20 November 2015. Apartments in the future complex can be purchased already. The first house’s name is Diadema. In view of the difficult economic situation in the country Dana Holdings invites future occupants to pay by installment for up to eight years.
