MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – Representatives of six countries will take part in the first international exposition 100 Ideas for the CIS, First Secretary of the BRSM Youth Union Andrei Belyakov told a press conference, BelTA informs.
The exposition will showcase 38 projects of finalists from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.
The works of young innovators from the CIS will be displayed in eight nominations, namely Industrial Technologies and Production; Chemical Technologies and Biotechnologies; Culture; Education; Healthcare; Medicine, Medical Equipment and Technologies, Pharmaceutics; Information Technologies (IT Industry); Hospitality: Tourism and National Culture.
The opening of the exposition will take place at the National Library of Belarus on 14 April. The results of the contest will be announced at the awards ceremony on 15 April.
The exposition will be the central event of the session of the CIS Youth Affairs Council which will be held in Minsk on 14-15 April. The participants of the session will discuss the implementation of the 2014-2015 action plan within the framework CIS International Youth Cooperation Strategy designed to run till 2020, the implementation of the action plan for 2016-2017. The development of the youth public movement, the activities of basic CIS organizations aimed at promoting youth entrepreneurship and the work with the young, improvement of the legal framework in the youth policy will be in the spotlight.
Besides, plans have been made to create a taskforce for the preparation of the concept to develop the youth volunteer movement in the CIS, discuss the publication of the book dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the CIS and the 10th anniversary of the Youth Affairs Council, the implementation of the international youth project 100 Ideas for the CIS.
A new chairman will be elected at the session in Minsk.
