Reliquary with hallows of Andrew the Apostle to be on display in Minsk

MINSK, 4 January (BelTA) – The reliquary with hallows of Andrew the Apostle will arrive in Minsk on 8 January, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Orthodox Church.

The reliquary with the Apostle’s hallows will be brought to the Belarusian capital from Greece’s Corfu. The relic was brought to local St. Nicholas Church from Jerusalem in 1537. This fact can be proved by the documents from the Historical Achieves of Corfu. Upon the blessing of Metropolitan of Corfu, Paxi and the Diapontian Islands Nektarios, the relic will be on display in Belarus.

The reliquary will be displayed in the Church of Saint Alexander Nevsky.
