MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – The National Palace of Culture of Trade Unions in Minsk will play host to the third edition of the trade union tourism expo Proftour from 30 January to 1 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus.
The expo will demonstrate Belarus’ tourism potential and will see foreign tour operators, too. “The event is meant to present the country’s tourism resources and expand the recreation and rehabilitation opportunities for workers. The visitors will be offered to choose any type of recreational activity they like: an entertaining weekend tour at the tourist centers of Belarusturist, a sightseeing program abroad, a vacation at sea or in a farm tourism estate,” the press service noted.
The organizers are set to pay special attention to factory tourism as it becomes more and more popular every year. Companies from all economic sectors, from food industry to mechanical engineering, will bring forward their proposals in this field. The expo will feature a spectacular entertaining program: the visitors will plunge into the Belarusian history and learn how the dietary preferences of the Belarusians have changed from the Middle Ages until today.
Trade union health resorts will also be well-represented at the expo. They will offer the guests to check out cutting-edge medical equipment and have an oxygen cocktail.
The trade union tour operator Belarusturist will offer affordable and comfortable Black Sea bus tours.
The organizers are the tourist and sightseeing company Belarusturist and Belprofsoyuzkurort, a health tourism provider.
