MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) - Creative aspects of the preparations for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 were discussed with show director Gordon Bonello from Malta who arrived in Minsk following the technical director of the contest, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian TV and Radio Company (BTRC).

Gordon Bonello is no stranger to Junior Eurovision, as he was the Creative Director of Junior Eurovision show in Malta, his home country, in 2014 and 2016. He took on the same role in Sofia in 2015, and Tbilisi in 2017.

Gordon Bonello’s visit to the Belarusian capital will last till 1 June. He is responsible for coordinating many creative aspects of the project. Now Gordon Bonello acts as a consultant to stage designers and graphic designers. In the run-up to the show he will start working with delegations to prepare the contestants rehearsals schedules.

Gordon Bonello held working meetings with the BTRC’s management and the creative team of the project.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will be held in Belarus on 25 November. The organizer and coordinator of all events of Junior Eurovision 2018 is the Belarusian public broadcaster BTRC, who is Belarus’ only member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
