MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – Preparations for the upcoming 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest have been discussed by Belarusian and foreign specialists, BelTA learnt from the press service of the national broadcaster Belarusian Television and Radio Company.
Technical Director of the Eurovision Song Contest Ola Melzig from Sweden and his assistant Tarmo Krimm from Estonia are currently on a working trip to Belarus.
Ola Melzig had already been to Minsk in March. Back then he toured the Belarusian Television and Radio Company premises and inspected the Minsk Arena complex that will be the venue for the final show of the junior song contest.
This time the foreign specialists will be in Minsk the entire week. Their schedule is packed with meetings with top managers of the national broadcaster, as well as technical and creative specialists who will be involved in staging the show.
The parties discussed technical aspects of the forthcoming show, including the stage, green room, press center and other venues.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will be held in Belarus in November 2018. The organizer and coordinator of the contest is the Belarusian Television and Radio Company, Belarus’ only member of the European Broadcasting Union.
