MINSK, 26 October (BelTA) – Some 74% of foreign customers said Belavia provides quality service, BelTA learned from AD HUNTERS BALTICS, a marketing and advertising group of companies.
Citizens of the EU countries, especially from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland, who frequently go to Belarus on business trips, noted the high quality of Belavia service. Citizens of Lithuania and Latvia stressed that in the field of maintenance Belarus’ national airline is better than Air Baltic, and pays more attention to the convenience of passengers. If problems do occur, Belavia solves them quickly and always tries to be on the side of a client. Residents of the Baltic countries said that Belavia has better aircraft than Air Baltic, and noted the professionalism of pilots. The Germans compared Belavia with their legendary Lufthansa. Respondents were also happy with the Belavia prices. "Everyone understands that Belavia is not a low-cost airline but its pricing policy corresponds to the market requirements when compared with the traditional airlines," said Kestutis Isakas, Chairman of the Board, HUNTERS group.
The poll respondents noted the areas where Belavia needs to shape up. These are marketing and the looks of both the aircraft and uniforms of flight attendants. "Colors of the planes are always important for the image of an air company. I must admit that Belavia’s coloring is dull and gives you a sense that you fly an old plane from the Soviet times, although the airline continuously updates its fleet and it is not old. It is even newer than Air Baltic’s one. Belavia needs rebranding. The planes of the national airline are a business card of the country. Thousands of potential tourists see them at airports in Europe and Asia. What do they think about the country when looking at an outdated logo and dull colors? But Belarus is a beautiful and vibrant country,” said the representative of Hunters.
With regard to marketing, Kestutis Isakas noted that since Belavia has opened flights to Riga and Vilnius, he often uses the services of the airline. "I can only respond positively on service. But the company needs to do more advertising and marketing in the Baltic countries. Belavia has interesting routes to Kazakhstan, Iran and other countries where no planes fly from Vilnius and Riga. The connection flights are also good. Residents of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia could make use of them. But there is not enough information. Therefore the plane from Vilnius often flies half-empty. Belavia has a huge potential," said Kestutis Isakas.
Respondents would prefer the flight to Minsk from Riga in the morning and evening rather than in the middle of the day. "This route is often used by businessmen. Flying in the middle of the day means two broken working days, if we consider that Minsk National Airport is located far from the capital of Belarus,” Kestutis Isakas said.
HUNTERS polled 813 people in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Poland and Germany.
