MINSK, 5 May (BelTA) – The Polish embassy in Belarus has announced a tender for its visa application centers in Belarus, BelTA learnt from the embassy.
Polish visa centers will open in Minsk, Brest, Grodno, Gomel, Mogilev, Pinsk, Baranovichi and Lida. They should provide at least 42 windows to submit visa application documents and 20 places for the applicant’s biometric data collection.
As of 23 June Belarusians will have to provide biometric data — fingerprints and a digital photo — in order to get a Schengen visa. According to the tender terms, visa centers should have all necessary equipment. Applications for the participation in the tender will be open till 10 June.
Centers will annually receive up to 290,000 visa application documents, including 80,000 in Minsk. Visa applications can be submitted from Monday till Friday (except for national holidays) from 9am till 5pm. The decision on the issue of a visa will be taken within 10 working days.
