MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) – The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) is gearing up to unveil an improved model of a Belarusian electric vehicle, Chairman of the NASB Presidium Vladimir Gusakov told reporters on 23 January, BelTA has learned.
“We have designed an improved model of an electric vehicle. A year ago we demonstrated such a car. Now we have several more models, including a minivan. We are ready to showcase them,” Vladimir Gusakov noted.
An experimental sample of an electric car engine has also been designed and manufactured in Belarus.
Last year Belarusian scientists developed a line-up of personal electric vehicles. “This line-up features a kit of equipment to convert a mechanical bike to electric traction, an urban folding electric bike and a tricycle,” Vladimir Gusakov noted
One of the latest developments is a Belarusian electric motorcycle. It will be displayed at an exhibition ahead of the Belarusian Science Day on 25 January.
