MINSK, 3 January (BelTA) – Belarus and China plan to translate and publish more books of Belarusian and Chinese authors in 2018, BelTA learned from the Information Ministry.
The year will be full of information and printing events. It is expected that Chinese publishing organizations will take part in the Minsk International Book Fair at the beginning of the year. “We hope that it will result in the signing of new joint projects to translate and publish books of Belarusian, Chinese authors,” the representatives of the Information Ministry said.
The next press tour of Chinese journalists to Belarus is expected to take place in May duringthe 22nd exposition Mass Media in Belarus. The Year of Tourism in the Belarusian-Chinese Relations will be the main topic. Besides, there will be joint contests, new projects of the biggest Belarusian and Chinese mass media.
Belarus’ Ambassador to China Kirill Rudy pointed out the productivity of Belarus-China relations in the media sector and literature in 2017. He mentioned such successful events as the first press tour of Chinese journalists to Belarus, the meeting of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko with Chinese journalists. The Belarusian delegation took part in the Beijing International Book Fair, there was a contest of essays about Belarus.
