MINSK, 31 July (BelTA) – Plans have been made to introduce the “China Friendly” standard at the hotels of the Belarusian capital, Yuri Natychko, the head of the household and hotel services department at Minsk City Hall, said on 31 July, BelTA has learned.
“So far in Belarus there are no companies authorized to certify hotels for compliance with the standards of the ‘China Friendly’ project. Russia has such companies. I think that Belarus will also have such companies soon,” Yuri Natychko said.
He noted that the hotels run by the department already comply to a great extent with the standards for accommodation of tourists from China. For instance, their websites have Chinese-language pages. The hotels have reception staff able to speak Chinese. Other requirements include access to free Wi-Fi and to an international Chinese TV channel, and hotel brochures in Chinese.
The hotels of the Belarusian capital are working to further improve the quality of their services for Chinese visitors.
