MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) - The Peace Light from Bethlehem will arrive in Belarus on 15 December, BelTA learned from the website of the Roman Catholic Church of Belarus.
It is expected that the Peace Light from Bethlehem will arrive at the Minsk Cathedral of Saint Virgin Mary on 17 December. The light will be brought to Minsk parishes on the following day.
The Roman Catholic Church invites everyone to join the campaign through social networks to tell the world about the Light from Bethlehem. “Everyone who keeps it in hands can take a picture of it and post it with hashtag #agon’zbetleema2016,” the Roman Catholic Church noted.
The Peace Light of Bethlehem will be brought to the Belarusian parishes by representatives of Belarusian youth organizations. Every year representatives of youth organizations light lampads at the basilica of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. Then, the light is taken to different European countries. “The Light of Bethlehem that symbolizes calmness, hope and concord, is brought to those who wait it thanks to the unity of the youth from different countries,” the Roman Catholic Church said.
