MOSCOW, 10 February (BelTA) – Belart.by. Young Artists of Belarus exhibition opened at Belarusian embassy’s business and cultural center in Moscow, BelTA learned from the press service of Belarus’ Embassy in Russia.
The exhibition features paintings, graphic designs, and sculptures by young Belarusian artists. The project has been arranged by the National Center for Contemporary Arts Of Belarus.
At the opening of the exhibition minister counsellor at Belarus’ Embassy in Russia Yuri Yaroshevich noted that it is one of the best contemporary art exhibitions that the business and cultural center has ever hosted. He stressed that creative youth enjoys great attention in Belarus. The special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the support of talented youth and for the social support of gifted students is a vivid example of such attention. Yuri Yaroshevich said that Belarus’ Embassy is also engaged in the support of talented youth and regularly holds events to present young Belarusian talents to the Moscow audience.
Head of the National Center of Contemporary Arts Natalya Sharangovich shared the history behind the exhibition. “We started this collection in 2010,” she noted. “Since then, it has been growing becoming more and more interesting from year to year. ”Natalya Sharangovich said that this exhibition is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the young Belarusian school of art. All the artists, graphic artists, and sculptors exhibited had graduated from the Belarusian State Academy Of Arts. Natalya Sharangovich stressed that Belarus has a national award for fine arts with a Young Artist category, which aims to foster the creative ambitions of young people.
The exhibition received high praise from the guests, including the creative intellectuals of Moscow. In particular, the leading research associate of the Research Institute of Theory and History of Fine Arts of the Russian Academy of Arts, member of the Union of Artists of Russia, and head of The Style of Victory fund Tatyana Astrakhantseva referred to the exhibition as “an outstanding”, and academician of the Russian Academy Of Natural Sciences, sculptor Natalya Opiok noted the mastery of the works.
