Over 6.4m Belarusians get first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

MINSK, 11 July (BelTA) – Over 6.4 million people in Belarus have got the first shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, BelTA learned from the Telegram channel of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.

More than 6.376 million people completed the vaccination regimen: 892,100 people in Brest Oblast, over 789,000 in Vitebsk Oblast, over 972,800 in Gomel Oblast, over 693,100 in Grodno Oblast, over 1.249 million in Minsk, over 979,100 in Minsk Oblast and more than 689,600 in Mogilev Oblast.

About 111,000 people got the vaccine shots on the premises of the organizations they work in. Over 147,800 teenagers aged 12-17 received one shot of the vaccine, of them more than 142,000 were fully vaccinated. “Thus, 69.2% of the country’s population received one dose of the vaccine, 68.2% were fully vaccinated,” the Healthcare Ministry informs.
