MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – As of 6 April, more than 40,000 coronavirus tests have been carried out in Belarus. Thirteen laboratories are involved in testing, BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.
By now 634 people remain in hospital. These are mostly contacts of the confirmed coronavirus cases. They were identified during the contact tracing and hospitalized before taking the tests. The majority of patients have mild or moderate symptoms. Fifty-three patients have already recovered. “Over the past two days, 355 people who received treatment or were under medical surveillance were discharged from hospital,” the Healthcare Ministry said.
Belarus’ coronavirus death toll has risen to 13. All these people had numerous chronic diseases that were aggravated by the coronavirus infection.
