MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – More than 32,000 tests for the COVID-19 coronavirus have been carried out in Belarus by 1 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.
“We are closely monitoring the epidemiological situation and if needed patients are referred to hospital for the further medical observation and examination,” the press service noted.
Over the past 24 hours, five coronavirus patients were discharged from hospital. Meanwhile, 157 people remain under medical surveillance and receive treatment.
The ministry confirmed the second death related to coronavirus. That was an elderly patient with numerous chronic diseases that were aggravated, according to preliminary data, by the coronavirus infection.
