MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) - More than 180 films from 60 countries will be presented at the 22nd edition of the Minsk International Film Festival Listapad which will take place in Minsk on 6-13 November, Svetlana Yaroshevich, the head of the cinematography department of the Culture Ministry of Belarus, told a press conference in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
The program of the festival features a total of 184 movies from 60 countries. These are 91 feature films, 70 non-fiction and 23 animated films, Svetlana Yaroshevich said. Last year 47 countries took part in the festival.
According to her, 60% of the festival costs is covered by the state. By tradition, special prizes will be awarded at the festival.
The Minsk International Film Festival Listapad is organized by the center of visual and performing arts ART Corporation. The festival has been founded by the Belarusian Culture Ministry and the Minsk City Hall with the participation of the Belarusian TV and Radio Company, the national film studio Belarusfilm, and the Belarusian Union of Cinematographers.
