MINSK, 10 August (BelTA) – Belarusian canoe sprinter Yuliya Trushkina placed fifth in the Women’s C-1 200m at the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympics, BelTA has learned.
The final featured eight athletes from Belarus, Canada, China, Spain, the USA and Hungary. The Belarusian finished fifth, clocking 44.83 seconds, half a second away from the bronze-medal place.
Gold went to Katie Vincent of Canada (44.12). Tokyo Olympic champion Nevin Harrison of the United States finished second. Yarisleidis Cirilo of Cuba secured bronze.
