MINSK, 3 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian rower Tatsiana Klimovich has finished competing as part of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games in Paris, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian competed in the preliminary stage and the quarterfinal stage of women’s single sculls but could not win the deciding race and went to Final B where athletes competed for places from 7th to 12th. In the consolation race Klimovich clocked 7 minutes and 25.61 seconds and finished second, trailing only Germany’s Alexandra Foster. Thus, Tatiana’s final result at the Games in Paris is the eighth position.
The final race of men’s single sculls will take place at the Olympic Water Stadium of the Vaires-sur-Marne municipality at 11:30 Minsk time. Belarus’ Yauheni Zalaty will be one of the six participants.
