MINSK, 2 August (BelTA) – Belarusian swimmer Anastasiya Shkurdai made it to the women’s 200m backstroke final at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian clocked 2:08.79 to finish fifth in Semifinal 2. In the overall standings she placed eighth among 16 athletes. The event brought bronze to the athlete at the Doha 2024 World Aquatics Championships in February.
The Friday final will feature Belarus’ Anastasiya Shkurdai along with Kaylee Mc Keown of Australia, Regan Smith and Phoebe Bacon of the United States, Honey Osrin and Katie Shanahan of the UK, Canada’s Kylie Masse, and China’s Xuwei Peng.
