MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – A new wine festival will take place in Minsk on 30 September and will close the Days of National Culture in the Upper Town, BelTA learned from the press service of Minsk City Hall.
The historical center of the city will offer guests an atmosphere of welcoming Moldavian countryside offering food and tasting of exclusive Moldavian wine. Grape and grape products are the symbols of this people. The top ten wine producers of Moldova will be presented at the food court.
An interactive and entertainment program will start after a formal opening of the festival at 13:00. People will be able to take a selfie with Bacchus (or Dionysus, the god of wine), a symbol of the festival, get acquainted with Moldavian traditions, learn folk dances, taste Moldavian pastry and learn how to cook it by taking part in master classes. Guests will also enjoy the performances of Plai ensemble and Moldavian poets.
Pop and rock singers will add some drive to the national color in the evening. The celebrations will finish with a traditional Moldavian round dance Khora.
The organizers of the event are the Embassy of Moldova in Belarus and Minsk City Hall.
