MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – The new Trostenets Memorial Complex will be unveiled near Minsk in June, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said at the opening session of the international forum “Eastern Europe: In Search of Security for All” on 23 May, BelTA has learnt.
The new memorial complex will be located on the site of a former concentration camp. That concentration camp was the biggest on the territory of the former Soviet Union. The memorial complex is to commemorate hundreds of thousands of Nazi victims.
Taking part in the ceremony to unveil the memorial complex will be representatives of many countries, including Israel, Austria, Germany, Poland and Czechia.
