New projects to be unveiled during Marathon of Unity in Mogilev

MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – The national social and cultural campaign Marathon of Unity is taking place in Mogilev on 22-23 November. The campaign becomes larger and more spectacular as it arrives in a new town, BelTA has learned.

The first day of the campaign will offer a series of thematic excursions for visitors to Mogilev: teams of creatives from Minsk Oblast and Grodno Oblast, as well as bloggers, will visit industrial flagships and the biggest food companies of Mogilev Oblast. They will see how the famous Mogilev elevators are assembled at Mogilevliftmash, how bakery and dairy products are made at Domochai Bakery and Confectionery Company and the Babushkina Krynka dairy producer.

Students of Mogilev State Technological College and the Mogilev State College of Construction will discuss important things together with speakers during the Non-Boring Non-Lecture event.

The concert “Let's work and sing together” will be held at Zenit, Mogotex and Transmash companies right in the workshops at the production facilities.

The importance of cooperation between large industrial enterprises will be highlighted during the project “We do the same thing!”. Such meetings are planned at Mogilevliftmash and Mogilevkhimvolokno. The staff and management of the Olsa company will meet with representatives of the Tiflos enteprise of the Belarusian Association of the Visually Impaired.

Artists of the Presidential Orchestra of Belarus will visit Mogilev Children's Art School No. 1 to share professional secrets with fledgling musicians.

The winners of the regional stage of the art competition for elementary school students “We are together” and the regional stage of the national essay competition “What is unity?” will be awarded during the first day of the campaign.

In addition, a conversation “My life. My path. My president” will take place at Mogilev State University. Mogilev will be the first city where such a project will be held. The students of the university will meet with Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist of Belarus Aleksandr Radkov and Director General of the National Library of Belarus, member of the House of Representatives, Chairman of the Board of the Knowledge society Vadim Gigin.

A number of thematic exhibitions will be running in Mogilev for two days. Local residents and visitors to the city will be able to see a collection of unique rare posters from the National Library of Belarus titled “With the quality mark”. The exposition of the Belarusian Telegraph Agency BelTA will be presented in Mogilev for the first time. Another exhibition of the National Library will display unusual books and publications gifted to the president of our country during his tenure. Visitors will be able  to learn more about the Great Patriotic War in Belarus and the country's liberation  from the Nazi invaders at the exposition of the Great Patriotic War Museum. It will be located at Pavel Maslenikov Mogilev Regional Art Museum. An interactive platform of the National Children's Technopark called “Together into the future” will be running in the Mogilev Regional Center for Creativity.

The main venue of the Marathon of Unity events on the second day will be the Ice Sports Palace. From 10:00  visitors will be able to treat themselves to a variety of dishes from thematic food trucks, including national cuisine trucks.

The entire model range of Geely and BelGee cars will be on display there. To better understand how our country fought and survived the Great Patriotic War, visitors can check out the mobile exhibition of the Great Patriotic War Museum.

A city quest will kick off at 11:00. Ten thematic sections will have to be completed by teams of friends, colleagues and like-minded people. In order to win, a team needs to score the biggest number of correctly answered questions, the speed of passing the tests. Additional points will be received by completing homework. Among the gifts are tickets to the gala concert “Time chose us”.
