Moscow to host fairs of Belarusian goods on 10-15 October

MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) – The fairs of Belarusian goods entitled as Minsk for Muscovites will be held on two venues in the Russian capital, BelTA learned from the press service of the Minsk City Hall.

Thus, on 10-15 October the Belarusian companies of light and food industries will be selling their goods in sixty-seven wooden chalets allocated by the government of Moscow in Revolutsionnaya Square. The official opening ceremony of the fair scheduled for 10 October will be attended by Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets.

The fair will display a variety of food products, goods of the light industry, carpets, ceramics, leather and linen goods, products made of straw, footwear, souvenirs and many more. Performing at the fair will be the Belarusian state dance company Khoroshki, the folk song and music band Svitanak and the folk vocal ensemble Bely Ptakh.

Another trading show will operate in 41 Profsoyuznaya Street on 10-15 October. Visitors will be offered footwear from the Belarusian companies Luch, Marko, Midisa, light industry products, food products from Kommunarka, Slodych, Belryba, Minsk Bakery, Borisov meat packing plant and other companies.

Apart from these two fairs, there will be one more at the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (VDNKh).

The two cities have been closely cooperating since 2012. The two capitals host each other’s days on a regular basis. Moscow and Minsk develop active relations in various areas, including trade, economic, social and cultural sectors. Belarus and Russia’s Moscow are implementing the plan of actions to develop trade, economic, sci-tech, humanitarian, cultural and social cooperation for 2016-2018.
