MINSK, 27 December (BelTA) - The Belarus-Russia Union State rally of armored vehicles dubbed as The Road of Courage dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War will start in Moscow in the summer of 2018, BelTA learned from the press service of the Military and Technical Society, which is the organizer of the event.
More than 15 units of armored vehicles will cover 2,300 kilometers from Moscow to Brest and back. The route will go through the places of defense of the Soviet troops in 1941. Patriotic events will be held in the cities on the route of the rally. Representatives of Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will also take part in the event.
In June 2017 The Road of Courage featured more than 15 units of demilitarized equipment. The rally attracted more than 21 million viewers. The event got into the Russian Book of Records.
