More than 6.5m Belarusians fully vaccinated against COVID-19

MINSK, 26 October (BelTA) – As of 26 October more than 6.617 million people in Belarus have got the first shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, of them over 6.507 million have completed the vaccination regimen, BelTA learned from the Telegram channel of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.

Over 900,800 people completed the vaccination regimen in Brest Oblast, over 798,200 in Vitebsk Oblast, over 985,000 in Gomel Oblast, over 702,900 in Grodno Oblast, over 997,800 in Minsk Oblast, over 695,900 in Mogilev Oblast, and over 1.31 million in the city of Minsk.

More than 114,000 employees of organizations and institutions have completed the vaccination process.

More than 221,600 children and teenagers aged 5-17 have received one shot of the vaccine, of them more than 196,500 have been fully vaccinated.

Thus, 71.5% of the country’s population have received one dose of the vaccine, 70.3% have been fully vaccinated.

Belarusians are also getting booster shots of the vaccine, with 55.8% of the population having received them so far.
