MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) – The National Library of Moldova has received a collection of Belarusian publications, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Kishinev.
“Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Moldova Anatoly Kalinin handed over a collection of Belarusian publications (83 books) compiled by the National Library of Belarus and 44 books from the Union of Writers of Belarus to the National Library of Moldova,” the embassy noted.
Anatoly Kalinin hailed the high level of Belarus-Moldova bilateral cooperation that is based on mutual respect, support, and friendship. During the event, the ambassador stressed Belarus’ interest in advancing cooperation in politics, economy, humanitarian affairs, and other areas. He believes that this event will facilitate the strengthening of international ties and improve the level of cultural cooperation between the two nations.
Since 2010, the National Library of Belarus in association with the Belarusian Culture Ministry has been implementing the international project Belarus Today. It has already presented collections of Belarusian books to 23 of the largest libraries in the world. The collections include the best fiction works, scientific and popular scientific publications, encyclopedias, reference books, and photo albums.
