MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) – The 5^th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia will take place in Mogilev on 11-12 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Council of the Republic.

The program of the forum will include meetings of the inter-parliamentary commission on interregional cooperation of the Council of the Republic and the Federation Council, and also the Business Cooperation Council. “Besides, the forum will feature sectional meetings, the Week of Integration and Cooperation in the Mogilev Oblast, a youth forum, an exhibition of arts and crafts, an ice hockey tournament of the Union State Games for Children and Youth and other events. The forum will also include a number of regional and district events,” the press service of the upper house of the Belarusian parliament informed.

The main event of the forum will be a plenary session to discuss priority directions in the development of regional cooperation as a key factor in integration and the Union State development.

The forum is organized by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia with the assistance of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee.
