MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – The student choir of the Mogilev branch of the Belarusian State Music Academy has won the Grand Prix of the international contest Songs over Neva which took place in St. Petersburg, BelTA learned from the Mogilev branch of the academy.
Concerts and contest events were held in the best concert halls and churches of the city.
Director of the Mogilev chorus Irina Pekarskaya has been awarded as with a diploma for her professionalism as a choir conductor.
The student choir of the Mogilev branch of the Belarusian State Music Academy is the laureate of the special fund of the Belarusian President, it has been presented with encouragement prizes of the fund four times. The Mogilev choir has won numerous international contests, including the Magutny Bozha festival in Mogilev, the Chrystal Chapel festival in Moscow, the international contest of church music in Polish Hajnowka.
