Mogilev hosts Heroes of Great Victory campaign

MOGILEV, 19 March (BelTA) – A campaign to collect the photos from the times of the Great Patriotic War “The Heroes of the Great Victory” has been launched in Mogilev, BelTA has learned from the Mogilev City Committee of the Belarusian BRSM Youth Union.

The project looks for photos depicting participants of combat actions, different war events, life on the front and in the rear. The photos are being collected across three themes. The collection “Front photo. The faces of the Victory” will include the family photos made during the Great Patriotic War and also the photos of the participants of combat actions made in the postwar period. The second collection “The heirs of the Victory” will consist of the portraits and photos of the participants of the patriotic movements and activities dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. The third collection “We remember…” will comprise the photos of the war and historic reenactment, parades, thematic festivals and theatrical performances.

The photos will make part of the panel picture dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. Plans are in place to put the panel picture on the light posters and the advertising constructions in Mogilev.

The campaign will be running till 31 March. The panel picture will be made before 15 April.

The campaign has been organized by the Mogilev City Committee of the Belarusian BRSM Youth Union with the support of the Mogilev City Hall and the Mogilev city organization “Belarusian Public Veterans’ Organization”.
