Minsk to host Open Forum of Plastic Theaters on 13-19 February

MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – The 6th Open Forum of Experimental Plastic Theaters PlaStforma Minsk 2018 will be held in the Belarusian capital on 13-19 February, BelTA learned from the organizers.

The forum will show a diverse program of plastic experiments in Belarus and other countries.

The physical theater InZhest will present a new play “Genesis # or The Origin of the Species” which will be the main premiere of the forum. With this play the theater continues a series of site-specific performances. As ever, InZhest researches a conflict of space and body that creates a special spatial-body drama. The producer and director is Vyacheslav Inozemtsev.

The program Solo Dance Performances and Dance Performances will see two productions by director Evgeny Kornyaga: Concrete in the RTBD theater, and The Interview with Witches in the Belarusian State Puppet Theater.

As always, PlaStforma 2018 will present a PlaStforma. Choreo Content evening of contemporary dance. Each performance will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience.

PlaStforma 2018 will be based in five theaters: Cultural Incubator OK16, the RTBD theater, the multi-functional art space Verkh, the Belarusian State Puppet Theater, the National Center for Contemporary Arts.

Every year PlaStforma is gaining in popularity in Belarus and abroad. This year’s forum will feature groups from Belarus, Poland, Ukraine, and Norway.

The Open Forum of Experimental Plastic Theaters PlaStforma Minsk was first held in 2013. It was founded by Vyacheslav Inozemtsev (InZhest Theater, Minsk), Alexander Tebenkov (Galleria dance theater, Grodno), and Inna Aslamova (Quadro contemporary dance group, Gomel).
