Minsk to host Mass Media in Belarus expo on 3-5 May

MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) – The 22nd international exhibition Mass Media in Belarus will take place in Minsk on 3-5 May, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Information Ministry.

The expo reflects the whole range of the information space in the country. Among the participants of the forum are printed and audio-visual mass media, internet resources, news agencies, cable TV operators and distributors, publishing houses.

The expo traditionally feature more than 100 exhibitors that display about 500 printed mass media outlets, TV and radio programs and channels from Belarus, Russia, China, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Latvia, India, Germany, Turkey, Georgia, and other countries.

The forum will include presentations of information and internet projects, autograph sessions, master classes, and other events. Heads of mass media outlets, journalists, and experts discuss the most important issues related to the operation of the media sector, the role of mass media in the development of the society and the state.

The expo also features ceremonies to award winners and prize holders of the national contest among printed mass media Golden Letter, winners of the national contest among journalists and mass media outlets for the best coverage of international and interdenominational relations, the intercultural dialogue in the Republic of Belarus and cooperation with compatriots abroad.

The Mass Media in Belarus expo is organized by the Belarusian Information Ministry in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Minsk City Hall, the National Exhibition Center Belexpo, other government bodies, the country’s leading mass media and public organizations.
