MINSK, 17 November (BelTA) – Over 300 academics will take part in the 6th international conference Traditions and Modern State of Culture and Arts to be held in Minsk on 19 November, BelTA learned from the Center for Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Research at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the organizer of the conference.
Partaking in the forum will be the leading specialists from such fields as architecture, fine art, decorative arts, theater, music, cinema, ethnology, folklore studies, Slavonic studies, and museum workers from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Poland.
The program of the conference includes a workshop on Belarusian folk dances by the dance company Maladzichki. Besides, the bookstore Akademkniga will present books that will be available at a fair held as part of the international conference. The participants will be also invited to visit the Museum of Ancient Belarusian Culture.
The conference will stress the importance of scientific research in architecture, fine art, decorative arts, theater, music, and cinema for resolving urgent issues of the modern culture. The participants will also try to find systemic approaches to the preservation of cultures, historical and cultural heritage in the context of globalization.
