Minsk to host Fashion Mill 2019 final on 15-16 May

MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – The final of the 28th edition of the nationwide vogue and photo festival Fashion Mill 2019 will be held in Minsk on 15-16 May, BelTA learned from the National Center for Artistic Creativity of Children and Youth.

The final will feature more than 60 collections of Belarusian designers. “International experts, fashion and design specialists from Italy, China, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine, and France have been invited to name the best works,” representatives of the center said. The winners will take part in the Fashion Mill international creative workshops in Europe, international design competitions, fashion weeks, exhibitions and internships.

Fashion Mill is a creative contest for designers, models, photographers, and stylists. Participation in the competition helps them improve their professional level. The festival is designed to preserve national traditions in fashion, design and production of clothing, photography, and to expand international ties.

The 28th nationwide vogue and photo festival is held in three stages from September to May. Its motto Welcome to Belarus - the Country of Sports and Creativity was chosen taking into account the fact that Minsk is hosting the 2nd European Games in 2019.

The organizers of the creative forum are the Education Ministry and the National Center for Artistic Creativity of Children and Youth.
