MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – A Belarusian Transport Week is scheduled to take place in Minsk on 3-5 October, the press service of Belarusian Railways told BelTA.

Belarusian Railways will take part in the 11^th international expo Transport and Logistics 2017 and the Belarusian Transport Congress. An international transport forum will take place in Minsk on 3-5 October. Participation in the expo will be arranged bearing in mind the 155^th anniversary of Belarusian Railways. The anniversary will be celebrated in December 2017.

The stand of Belarusian Railways will be accompanied by the stand of the state transport and logistics enterprise Belintertrans – Transport-Logistics Center of Belarusian Railways. The transport and logistics center will be designed and built taking into account the 25^th anniversary of the enterprise.

The stand of Belarusian Railways will display information about technical, technological, and transshipping capabilities of the Belarusian railway operator. There are plans to arrange multimedia presentations of the projects Belarusian Railways has implemented and plans for the period till 2020. These plans involve various areas such as investment policy, infrastructure development, renewal of the rolling stock and the locomotive fleet, ways to improve passenger services, information services for cargo owners and forwarding agencies.

Specialists of Belarusian Railways will meet with representatives of Belarusian companies, ports, and forwarding agencies with a view to promoting Belarusian products onto foreign markets.

Participation in the Belarusian Transport and Logistics Congress will be an important event for Belarusian Railways. Representatives of the Belarusian railway operator will take part in specialized panel sessions and roundtable sessions, various discussions, workshops and conferences to discuss topical problems and development prospects of the industry.

In the days of the Belarusian Transport Week Belarusian Railways intends to arrange a number of events of its own to enhance its image on the market of transportation services.
