MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – The history of the mass media in Belarus will be the main theme of the 20th international expo Mass Media in Belarus to be held in Minsk on 11 to 14 May, BelTA learned from the print media and external relations division of the Belarusian Information Ministry.
The anniversary edition of the expo Mass Media in Belarus will be held at the exhibition center in 14 Pobeditelei Avenue. Partaking in the event will be representatives of state-owned TV channels, news agencies, leading newspapers and magazines, regional media, children’s educational magazines, literary and arts magazines, radio companies, diplomatic missions in Belarus, non-state media, and media companies of Russia, the Belarus-Russia Union State, the CIS member states, China, Venezuela, Cuba, and other countries.
The expo will aim to present the history of the mass media in Belarus, from the oldest media products to state-of-the-art communication technologies. Participants in the event will discuss ways to disseminate varied, high-quality and up-to-date information through all available communication channels, first of all, the media.
The 20th international expo Mass Media in Belarus will provide a platform to discuss the current state and development prospects of the Belarusian information environment as well as plans for the future. The program of the expo includes roundtable sessions, seminars and workshops to be attended by leading journalists and media experts of Belarus and Russia. Besides, the awards ceremony of the national print media competition Zolotaya Litera (Golden Letter) will be held as part of the forum.

The expo is organized by the Information Ministry and the national exhibition center BelExpo with the support of Minsk City Hall, the National State TV and Radio Company, the Belarusian Union of Journalists, the Union of Publishers and Distributors of Press, the House of Press.
