MINSK, 19 March (BelTA) – The 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held at the Belarusian capital on 25 November. The event will be hosted by Minsk Arena, BelTA informs.
The weekly show on Belarus 1 TV channel showcased the forum’s logo and motto which were chosen at an open competition held in late 2017. The contest received more than 300 electronic and mail letters from different countries. The best ideas were submitted to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
As it was previously reported, the representatives of the Eurovision Supervisory Board visited Minsk on 13 February. They spoke highly of the work carried out by the Belteleradiocompany with regard to the preparations for the forum, the development of the concepts and ideas of the show. They also visited The President Hotel, the Belexpo Exhibition Center, which was considered one of the Eurovision launch venues, and Minsk Arena as one of the Eurovision Song Contest venues. After the visit, a decision was taken to designate The President Hotel as the venue of the Euroclub and the place of accommodation of the delegations.
The organizer and coordinator of the 2018 junior Eurovision Song Contest is the National State TV and Radio Company of Belarus as the only member of the EBU.
