MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) – Athletes from 34 countries will take part in the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Skating Union.
The competitions will be held at Minsk Arena on 21-23 September. A total of 121 athletes will compete in the Ladies, Men, Pairs, and Ice Dance events. The tournament will be the first one for the potential participants of the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games and will precede another big event, the 2019 ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Minsk.
Figure skaters from Russia, the United States, China and Japan traditionally keep the leading positions on the international sport arena.
The competitions are organized by the Belarusian Skating Union, the Sports and Tourism Ministry and the Minsk City Hall.
