MINSK, 21 November (BelTA) - More than 200 volunteers will be enrolled to help with the 2019 ISU European Figure Skating Championships due in Minsk on 21-27 January, Chairperson of the Belarusian Skating Union Yulia Komleva said at a conference hosted by BelTA on 21 November.
These will be both experienced volunteers and novice skaters who will be able to see Europe’s best athletes perform in Minsk. “The championships will feature top athletes, and we must take all the details into account. Volunteers will get assistance from the experienced officials of the Skating Union. Organization of the work of judges, participants, guests of honor is spelled out in the rules of the competition,” Yulia Komleva said.
Over 100 athletes will compete in the 2019 ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Minsk. The event will be the last one in the career of Javier Fernandez of Spain. Minsk will also welcome Russia's top ladies.
